Chaos & Order

What is chaos other than order you cannot see? If people throughout time & space have discovered through spirituality & science the universe is constructed with an intelligent design from the minute to the massive, how would phenomena in between be disordered? Cellular structures, all the way to solar systems, & galaxies have been identified to move within patterns. It is my observation as well, that all of life exists within organized forms. Therefore, I am inclined to determine that the nature of chaos is imaginary: a psychological creation concocted by a misuse of human creativity, or lack of discernment. If you observe your experience, without filtering it through a predetermined script as all of us do, the mind relaxes into a mirror-like state which reveals life as it is, not as you confuse it to be. Confusion can only exist within the human mind which attempts to grasp, but never holds reality with its limited capability to only create symbols for social & intrapersonal comprehension. Confusion's original meaning was "overthrow, [or] ruin". I interpret this as one's thought process & / or actions are attempting to rebel against reality, probably unknowingly, to fabricate their own sense of how life is. This is an effort to impose one's limited beliefs upon the already established design of the universe: a contest no one can win.

The oldest known definition of order was "position, state, or rule", & chaos was defined as "gaping void; empty, immeasurable space". I find this profoundly insightful into the nature of this duality because it reflects a fundamental aspect & limitation of the human condition. We only know what something is in comparison to something else. We do not know what something is of itself. The positions & attributes of phenomena indicate to our logical minds what that piece of existence is. Hot is the absence of cold. Darkness is the absence of light. Right is the opposite of left, up the opposite of down. The rich are revealed by the poor. There is only a behind if there is an ahead, a leader if there are followers, & sound if there is silence. The poles are inseparable in this ping-pong-like game of finding meaning within this seemingly complex cosmos. We must know two things to know one. The interdependent psychic ecosystem of labels creates what we understand as order.

Let's say you are driving down a busy highway passing by other cars, trees, street signs, etc. If all of these phenomena, besides you & your car, vanished only to leave a blank nothingness, you would have no idea where you are or how fast you are going. 80mph in Topeka, Kansas becomes an unknowable speed in an unknowable setting (position, state, or rule). If the reverse happens, meaning you & your car are moving through a clear scene with minimal objects in view, & instantaneously a thunderstorm, kangaroos, & hot air balloons appear into the scene, which create the unknown; otherwise described as chaos. It’s interesting how these two spectrums of stimulation lead to this state in which there is no grip on experience; no context to ground oneself. When outer coordinates are stripped away, or abruptly manifested, there is this sensation of chaos.

But chaos for who? Or more specifically, chaos for what? The foundation of your being, or the movement which dances upon it? The ocean is not confused when fish appear & disappear. A barracuda may startle a small tuna, but the sea which facilitates this interaction is left undisturbed. Still & serene because it contains the variations of energy within it. That which encases an item cannot be shaken by its contents; especially not when the container is infinite. A house with no ground, no walls, no exit or enter cannot be shaken. Once you realize you are this immovable state, from seeing deeply within yourself beyond the pattern of thought, emotion, & bodily movement, you will understand what creates disturbance, illusory chaos, is only the grip you have on the incessant movement of the surface, of the fish in the ocean that is you. You may identify yourself as a person, but what is a person other than the thoughts, emotions, & bodily movements one has? You can observe these three so you must be beyond them. Knowing this is understanding your true position, your true order of you as a human being in relation to the world which cannot be destroyed even if everything morphs with time; you do not move. Is it chaotic to see your body which was once 2 feet tall is now 6 feet? Your interests used to be cartoons & now it is global exploration. Your clean shaven jawline is now covered in wool-like hair. Even those you used to call dear friends or lovers have now faded with the never ending flow of energy replaced with spellbinding refreshment of life which refused to repeat itself. We perceive chaos as change, but change is life. The dynamism of existence flows throughout this mystical cosmos, which includes our mind, body, & the environment they are placed in. An environment we attempt to make static through our man made settlements, & our "immortal" flow of resources we receive from predictable vendors in convenient locations. Slowly, our minds become incapable of flowing with the movement, riding it, just as our nomadic ancestors did. What incredible stories they could share if they were alive today! Unbound by our modern lifestyles which portray themselves as secure freedom but dually experienced, consciously, or unconsciously, as an aesthetically pleasing open cage where we degrade the natural longing to explore every inch of this life we possibly can. Have we become so cowardice, & so close minded by our safety that we've even used the very language we speak with to limit our experience? The very notion of chaos denotes that fear is your ruler, & the curiosity instilled in you by the universe, which ensures you are protected by keen attention & existential identity with consciousness itself, is rendered insignificant in comparison to your definitions of the world taught by another, & not your vision. We have the gift of first hand experience, the vehicle to realizing order in any situation, but many have been convinced the words of another, who knows no better, & gives a second hand account, is more reliable. We may cling to these assumptions, dulling our sight with ghost stories, & this creates subjective, not objective, chaos. Order is all around you, if you choose to use the gift of attention; the master of movement. I hope to teach you how this is so.
