On a freezing winter’s afternoon, I chose to travel to this elegant metal sculpture which I had driven past several times earlier in the year. The vision of capturing this exact image illustrating the brilliant geometry complimented by a jet black background remained in my mind since I first observed the object. I was able to shoot a few frames before my fingers became so cold I could not feel the buttons of my camera. Those 30 or so minutes of primal discomfort were worth capturing this timeless imagery.
