Driving along a highway near Washington DC, I notice my favorite natural formations which only occur a few hours before summer storms: massive cumulous clouds. I decided to head near the Lincoln memorial, a marble building which contrasts perfectly against the puffs of water vapor. These complimentary textures of stone & gas lasted only several minutes as weather patters quickly developed into a proper storm with thunder & lightning. I, & many others, took refuge under the architecture’s timeless pillars.
