To catch the sunrise event of this majestic scene displaying the Susquehanna river, I awoke at 3:30AM to drive over two hours into the backcountry of PA. The 100 mile drive, peaceful & free of friction, was a precursor to what I was bound to witness. I arrived before dawn & observed the sunlight slowly reveal details of the massive scene before me. I captured several moments of this evolving terrain, but one in particular exposed light that gently bounced off the water into my lens creating an ethereal smoothing effect which only existed for a minute.
