Driving through the streets enjoying a hot Summer’s day, I felt the gravitational pull of these enormous clouds grab my attention. For many years I’ve had the desire to photograph the weightlessness & power of storm formations such as these. On this day, I made the most of the opportunity as I parked my car, & proceeded to the best place to capture them. A walkway which directs pedestrians across a bridge provided the best angle. Its metal gates & streetlights illustrate by contrast how large & how far away the clouds expressed themselves. I was humbled by their size & grateful to create an image of this sublime location.
